2011 – The year that flew by

I started this blog over a year ago, when I had some extra time.  Since college I haven’t been writing as much as I used to; mainly because no one was making me.  So, when I found myself perusing the internet for things that I couldn’t buy and didn’t need, I knew I needed something to keep me busy.  As it turns out, my free time was limited.  Soon after I began writing, I went back ‘into the field’ which meant waking up before 4 am, and going to bed by 8:30 pm.  Doesn’t leave a lot of room for down time.

Well here I am again with some free time.  I realized that we are well over half way through 2011 and it seems like it was just 20 10.  I am not sure if this is a phenomenon that occurs once you are out of school, or become an ‘adult’ or if this has just been a year of change.  Since the last time we chatted, I have been laid off, got a new job, changed schedules, bought a horse and had 2 birthdays.  With this free time I really wanted to get back to writing.  I will continue to write about restaurants, farmers markets and local food sources.  But will also add a section about my new horse, Pepper.  I hope you all enjoy the new blogs and please let me know if there are any other topics that you would like to read about.
